Our story
Greek Mama’s Bakehouse is a London-based Greek bakery rooted in family, tradition and home cooking.
I grew up on the island of Evia in Greece, in a busy household where food was always at the centre of daily life. My mother, Stavroula, cooked constantly. Her kitchen was filled with the smells of handmade pies, slow-cooked fillings and freshly rolled dough. Watching her bake was where my love for food began.
Years later, after moving to London, I found myself longing for the flavours of home. That craving led me to recreate my mother’s spanakopita, just as she used to make it. One pie led to another, and slowly the idea of opening a Greek bakery began to take shape.
Another important influence came from my late mother-in-law, Eleni. Her leek and bacon pie became one of the foundations of what we make today. Greek Mama’s Bakehouse is a tribute to both of these women and to the food they shared so generously.
What we bake now carries those stories with it. Each pie is made to be shared, just as it always was around our family table.

What we make
Greek Mama’s Bakehouse specialises in handmade Greek pies, pastries and festive bakes, prepared in small batches in London.
Our menu is inspired by traditional Greek home cooking. We focus on a small, considered range of dishes, including classic spanakopita, leek and bacon pie, and seasonal bakes such as melomakarona, kourabiedes and vasilopita.
Alongside our baked goods, we also prepare traditional Greek dishes for catering and events, including moussaka, pastitsio, fresh salads and house-made dips.
All our doughs are made by hand and rolled sheet by sheet, using a method closer to a Greek village kitchen than a commercial bakery. We use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, alongside essential Greek staples such as feta cheese, Greek yoghurt and extra virgin olive oil.

We are committed to reducing food waste, supporting fair and sustainable practices, and making food that is accessible and nourishing. We use eco-conscious packaging wherever possible and work towards low-impact delivery options.
At its heart, this bakery is about connection. Food brings people together, tells stories and creates moments of belonging. That is what we aim to offer through everything we make.
