Celebrate the New Year with one of Greece’s most cherished traditions.
Vasilopita is the cake traditionally baked and shared at the start of the year. It’s cut with family and friends gathered around the table, bringing a moment of anticipation, joy and hope for what’s ahead.
Our handmade Vasilopita is baked in small batches using a traditional recipe. It’s made with Greek yoghurt and fresh orange juice, giving a soft, fragrant crumb that stays beautifully light. Before baking, a lucky coin, known as the flouri, is placed inside the cake. By tradition, whoever finds it in their slice is believed to receive good luck for the year ahead.
Delivery note: Orders placed between 20–28 December will be delivered from 30 December onwards. Available delivery dates can be selected on the cart page.
About the Cake: Freshly baked to order. Made using simple ingredients, without added preservatives. Baked in a 9-inch (23 cm) round paper pan. Serves 8-10 people. Keeps well for 3 to 4 days when stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
